Rare Mason's Patent Ironstone washbowl and pitcher set. Both pieces are decorated with Japanese styling. This set was made in England in the mid 19th century and is handpainted. Both bowl and pitcher marked with the Mason's Patent Ironstone Crown Mark. Bowl measures 15 3/4 inches in diameter round and 5 3/8 inches tall. Pitcher measures 11 1/2 inches tall and approximately 10 inches from tip of spout to tip of handle. A STUNNING SET!!!!
Set is in very nice condition. The bowl has some fleabite size knicks, we believe its mostly to the paint and glaze itself. I count about 7 of these tiny flakes. I noticed the bowl also has a line (about 1/2 inch) on the outside of the rim only that you can catch your fingernail on. Bowl shows some wear were pitcher sits inside, but its minimal. Overall in VERY NICE condition for being 150 years old! Please request additional photos, if needed.
