This is a nice, antique Tramp Art Piece. It has up to 9 layers in its design and measures approximately 10 1/2 inches long by 7 3/8 inches wide, by 4 3/4 inches tall with lid on. The inside of the box is lined with velvet, which has come unglued over the years, but could easily be reglued. The bottom of the box has a greeting card added to it, for extra character! This box is in two pieces, a base and a lid that sits on top. The lid is just slightly larger than the base rim, and thus, if its not on straight, the lid wants to fall into the box. (I think that's how the velvet worked its way loose over the years). Once you set it properly and it remains untouched, the lid will stay on as it was intended for display. There are two pieces missing from this box. One side is missing its topmost layer and one pyramid on the top of the box is missing its top piece, which was a very small piece. I have SEVERAL up close photos to share, so please email to request them. The box shows minimal wear other than the missing pieces and the loose velvet. Overall, a nice box for display and a GREAT folk art look!
